Poetry and Classes

SO FOR SOME REASON FORMATTING STUFF ON BLOGSPOT FROM ANOTHER ACCOUNT BRINGS ME TO A DIFFERENT POSTING/WRITING PLACE. I DON'T UNDERSTAND. ANYWHOOO

Classes have started again, and its been a month since I've had "normal" classes. I CAN'T TAKE IT, SO MUCH HOMEWORK. And senioritis is REALLY setting in...At least I like all my classes so far! (Except STAT aka nap class)

But so this post was really just to...write down some poems we've been reading in Japanese literature. All of them are so beautiful T___T

Ono no Komachi- born 834 CE

How invisibly
it changes color
in this world
the flower
of the human heart.

Silent as spring rain
on a marsh,
my tears
fall to my sleeves
unheard by him.

In this world
love has no color-
yet how deeply
my body
is stained by yours

And something I saw from Stevie's blog (http://chocosweete.blogspot.com/)

Afternoon on a Hill

I will be the gladdest thing
under the sun!
I will touch a hundred flowers
And not pick one.

I will look at cliffs and clouds
with quiet eyes,
Watch the wind blow down the grass,
And the grass rise.

And when lights begin to show
Up from the town,
I will mark which must be mind,
And then start down.

Earlier this year, Jeanine and I wanted to start writing beat poetry after we saw some performances at our school. I think I want to try that now, as well as just lyrical poetry? I haven't written something for fun in AGES and I used to be pretty good at it as a kid, so I think I want to try it again.
