sizing! Tonya was surprised at how small these sketches actually are. All done in the large-sized moleskine.
Ahhhhhh! Finally able to get these out of my headd. Feels good to draw again, mang.

Picking up from the last picspam post--
Went to V's house with Tonya and Nick to hang out!
BUNNY WITH BUNNY SLIPPERS = HUMAN WITH HEAD SLIPPERS. THINK ABOUT IT.
We hung ornaments that represented each of us. THIS ONE IS SAM. IN THE BACK AND IN THE CORNER. Never to be seen again.
Jeanine ALSO IN THE BACK.
Alan. bahihihihii.
circles and squares!
We played apples to apples with custom cards. SO FUN.
dinner
Where most of my winter break has been spent. DO YOU SEE THAT OLD BLANKET THAT IS FRAYING AT THE ENDS? I've had that since BIRTH. I can't sleep without it. My parents call it puo bei (literally "crappy/trashy blanket) and they used to say that it would be really embarrassing if I brought it to college with me. AND IN THE END, I DID. (I brought it home for winter break though!)
ps my sister sleeps like a starfish and so do I SO IT IS A BATTLE TO NOT FALL OFF THE BED.
Elliot says that he can get to the top of Olivia's "favorite Julia friends" list and have her like being photographed again. WE SHALL SEE.
my meeaaat balllll

LUNAR ECLIPSE
Dragged my old telescope out to watch the red moon, realized I was missing pieces on the eyepiece so I had to tape the lens on...AT LEAST IT STILL WORKED. Too bad the moon itself was too small to photograph :T Took a bunch of long exposure shots of the sky instead!
~~
Met up with Lindsay and took photos~ I was...really uncreative that day. I need to think of concepts like how I did THAT ONE TIME. orzzzz
I fell down the hill right before this shot LOL. It was a pretty steep hill with dead underbrush all around...I slipped on some wet leaves and one leg kiiiiicked way up and I fell on my back and slid down the hill HAHA. BUT MY CAMERA WAS UNHARMED.
~~~
FISHEYE?!
I bought a transparent Christmas orb at Michael's on a whim (MAYBE THIS WILL BE USEFUL FOR COSPLAY). Turns out that it KINDA works like a fisheye? kinda kinda notreally...
BUT it gets Diana-like effects if you put it over the lens!
HAD DINNER WITH MADDIEEEE.
Thai food is ALMOST my favorite.
Starbucks on a winter's night...AND I GET A FROZEN DRINK. (dohoho I am so smart. and it had milk in it. EVEN SMARTER).
We watched the FIGHTER, shopped around a bit and ran into her friends and ex. DOHOHO AWKWARD MOMENTS. It was good seeing her again though!
shipped out Jeanine and Cassie's presents a few days ago!
~~~
Partaaay at our house!
THERE WERE 30 PEOPLE PRESENT
so many chinese I don't even
but the food was REALLY good that day. We're still finishing the leftovers hahaha
ohei tonyaaaa
T-THEY ARE ALL THE SAME.
LOL
Olivia may or may not be a pro at Angry Birds.
AND SHE MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE RECORDED HERSELF SINGING JINGLE BELL ROCK

Driving. This little green bug clung on to the outside of my window for 30 miles...Impressive.
Blue skies and green hills. WHY I LOVE NORCAL.
We went to V's house in attempts to work on cosplay. BUT NO MOTIVATION. And there was only V's devil sewing machine. So we just loafed around until Tonya and Nick showed up (2 hours) later.
WENT TO JOANNS
V got SOME progress done...Nick is modeling it.
I FOUND THOSE GLASSES! Only $2.50.
We went to Popeye's! MY PARKING JOB WAS HORRENDOUS. FIRST TIME EATING POPEYE'S.
Played Cranium for the rest of the night.
30 seconds after it was revealed to be a bear skin rug;
V's mom: "OH, I KNOW. ITS A FISH!!" orz
ITS A NA'VI

So, my grandfather. Right after we finished our holiday party, my parents and I were all cleaning up, talking about how it was successful and how everyone was pretty happy and all that. It was really nice, just talking to my parents (its been a LONG time since we had time to do that). Annnd then, we got the call from the doctors in China. My grandfather is sick again. The fever that had started the day after my dad returned to the states turned into something muuuch worse. From what I could pick up from my dad's conversation on the phone, my grandpa's liver and kidneys were infected and he had fallen into a coma again. The doctors wanted to put him in the ICU, and my grandma (who is a doctor and the ONLY reason why he's still alive) refused since she wouldn't be able to do anything or even see him if he was sent there. My dad's going back in a few days. Ahhhhhh. My grandpa's been having problems since 2003 (when he had his first stroke) and he hasn't been able to speak since 2008. Each time he gets sick, he gets farther and farther from how he used to be. Right now, he can't recognize ANYBODY and can't speak or move on his own anymore. Its been especially difficult on my dad since he's their only child and he has the factory to look after AND us in the states. Sigh. My grandpa basically raised me as a kid (Dad was busy with work and mom was busy with baby Angela) and as a kid I NEVER appreciated him. My grandpa is the kindest person I (and everyone else who knows him) know. He used to give me DaBaiTu (white rabbit) candies if I had been good. He'd tell me the ONE story he knew again and again(or START to, I'd always interrupt him or he'd not continue)- "last night, there were two little black cats outside---". I wonder how that story would have continued or ended. Or if it had an ending at all. Sigh.
