(I'm just gonna consolidate it all into one post....)
Met up with Mike at the hostel...got lost trying to get there and broke into the most disgusting full body sweat ever (actually last year's was worse) and probably freaked out everyone in the hostel with my red and huffing self... But we went out later to the night market by NTU (where he did his summer program) to get food!

Then we went back to the hostel, which was full of foreign travelers (mostly students).

Went to Taiwan's response to Akihabara...the underground shopping mall under Taipei main station! There were maid/butler cafes, and tons of anime shops.

our hostel
a typhoon hit the day we were moving out, so I protected my suitcase...
We took the high speed rail to Zuoying (and then to Kenting). It was cartoon network themed!
Hengchun room
We wandered around that night, looking for things to do (but it's Hengchun so there's nothing). We won a SUPER CUTE beluga whale out of the vending machine and then walked into a cockroach nest that was...not cute.

we moved over to Kenting!
Because of the typhoon, we couldn't go to any of the beaches and Kenting is pretty slow during the day time...so we hung out in Mcdonalds with all the rest of the young people.
