Day 2
Super Smash Brothers Brawl for me (pokemon trainer) and Jeanine (Roy OR MARTH LOLZ) on Day 2 (Friday) and Vampire Knight for V(Yuki) and Sam (Zero). V and everyone else had spent the previous night feverishly working on costumes until 2am, so we got a late start in the morning cuz we woke up later than expected.
/When we got to the con center, we wanted to go to the only event open- origami folding- but it was completely full by the time we got there, so we decided to have a photoshoot by the lower atrium~

Yar, that’s a lot of photos ahahahhahaah~ Afterwards, me and Jeanine wandered out and about to see the LM.C panel, but alas, the line was super hella long, so we ditched that to maybe see the Jyuukai concert which was supposed to start soon. So we walked over in the blaaaaaazing hot sun to the Staples center first and it was like, no one is here D8, then we realized it was supposed to be in the Nokia center lolol, so we walked over there, and THEN they told us that we couldn’t go in without tickets which were all the way back at the registration area AND we couldn’t bring props or bags in. Some guys ran past us waving the “last Jyuukai tickets” so we decided to go back to the main convention building. Some guy stopped us in front of a news-casting truck and was like, can I have a photo? And we thought he wanted to get us on TV LOL, but nope, he just wanted a picture of us with the news casting truck ahahah. We hit up the dealer’s room and I spent a freaking $20 on a loverly Yotsuba figurine and only $8 on a random Dynasty Warriors 6 figurine. To Jeanine I was like, “ok, I’ll be happy with ANYONE in this random set, except for Zhang Liao.” “You just cursed yourself. You’re gonna get Zhang Liao now. For sure.” “Naaaaaaah” I open the box, and its ZHANG LIAO. TAT Hhahahaaha, he isn’t that bad I suppose~ ONCE HIS HEAD IS ON A DIFFERENT BODY~! We went to a deserted info booth by the arcade to play with our new figurines and to rest. Haha, so many people came up to us asking for info, and we were just like, duuuuuur 8D we don’t know? Ahahahhahaah~

O hay thar sexay babay~ We met up with Jo (who was Dark Sheik) and I split off from Jeanine to go to the dealer’s room with Jo. We ran into Pikminlink! I think Pikminlink recognizes me now, but she doesn’t know who I am ahahahhahaah, cuz every time I see her, I’m like OMG photos?! 8D I’m your biggest fan ect ect and I think she recognized my Lu Xun from the Norcal Picnic lolz~
We met up with Dustin, who was cosplaying as Pitt from Brawl, and we went to explore the dealer’s room once again ahahah~ Dustin was like, hella popular ahahah~ Jo and I were kinda just standing there, off to the side, while he got all the photo requests hahaha~ Must have been his legs!

We met up with Mike (Jo’s friend) who is an AMAZING photographer for a private brawl shoot in the artist’s alley with Jo and Dustin. It was hella fun hanging out with them hahaha~ I can’t wait to see the photos! It was hard thinking of poses for pokemon trainer though, cuz he just kinda stands around while his pokemanz fight for him.

After the photoshoot, Jo and I waited around for Dustin to go find Jimmy, and we met up with Khuan, who is awesome lol. Our convo:
Khuan: “So who are you guys waiting for?”
Jo: “Dustin to pick up Jimmy, hahaa”
Khuan: “Ooh, I see…*blank look”
*Dustin arrives with Jimmy*
Khuan: “OMG, YOU NEVER SAID IT WAS THE JIMMY!”
Hahaa, I had no idea that Jimmy was internet-famous lololol~

“For the Vocaloid dancing pratice, I had my ice cream, and ate it too. We were praticing a few dances for the main gathering the next day. When look who shows up~ Jo, and her friends Dustin and Julia. They were doing a photoshoot with Mike of BlankLogoPhotography.com<---check it out his stuff is awsomeee. Dustin came back with his friends Jimmy and a girl that I should've gotten the name of(She was so pretty *.* and nice~) I was like OMG YOU'RE JIMMYCOSPLAY. and asked for a hug ^^/end fangirlism/. another cospay celebrity met :O they were all in their EPIC brawl cosplay. when we went down stairs, soem one asked for their picture, then that's when A huge FLOCK of photographers.spectators were snapping away for like 10 minutes (they were on the bottom of the stairs, and it blocked traffic flow~ but it was worth it~ It was so fun hanging out with Julia, Dustin, Jo, and Jimmy, even if we just stood around talking.~”
Yeah, with me as Pokemon trainer, Jo as Dark Sheik, Dustin as Pitt, Jimmy as Marth, and Iris as Ash, we were a pretty epic little Brawl group, but became 10x more epic-er when Tyler (Ness) and Katie (Dark Link) and a Ike whom I don’t know arrived. I gave Jimmy the fan I made him cuz he didn’t have an epic sword and because his costume was hot. It took me and Tyler a lot of convincing for him to bring Marth to AX hahaha, with us threatening to beat him up, offering to fan him the entire time, and allowing him to “touch him inappropriately” (THAT WAS TOTALLY TYLER, NOT ME LOL).
o hay thar, I made them bomb-ombs that Dustin is holding~Like Khuan said, we blocked up the stairs with our little group, so we migrated to the registration area, where we picked up a bunch of brawl cosplayers along the way ahahah~ We had a Brawl gathering that was hella fun inside, outside the registration place, but we were relocated when someone came to tell us that the REAL but smaller and less cool Brawl gather was outside in the heat TAT.
Outside, the gathering was fun too, lol. When I ran in, I dropped one of my bomb-ombs, and everyone FREAKED out and started throwing it like a hot potato around ahahahah~ But after 15 minutes, it became too hot for me even though I was in a really light costume. Jo and I escaped to the entrance of the con center in front of the doors, where we found Jimmy fanning himself in the coolest area of the convention (cuz the AC was blasting at the doorway, we just stood in front of it, lol). We hung out for a bit in front and took photos~

Really soon after, I had to run off to change to join OMG5 for the masquerade ball. I was able to skip the line in with a lot of pleading to the guard so I could go in and pick up my outfit from our communal bag. Ran in, couldn’t find them for the longest time lol, so I was just a random pokemon trainer running around on the dance floor haha. When I did find them, there was this new guy with them, didn’t know him, and something about the frozen : D…. faces on my group member’s faces sent off little warning bells in my head lolz. But I grabbed the bag with my dress and ran out to the public bathroom to change lol. Some cosplayers were using the handicapped stall, so I had to use the TINY normal stalls to change. It was like lalala, all was going well until I noticed that there was no hook to hang my bags on. ‘_____’ No problem, no problem, just hang it on the door, right? Some IDIOT stuck some gum right along the top of the door, so I couldn’t use that lol. Somehow I was able to change while holding my outfit and three big bags lololol~ I didn’t pack formal shoes cuz I didn’t want to be crippled like I was at Fanime, but the high-top converse I was wearing didn’t really go well with my dress lolz. Just like Jeanine did before me, I had to fix my makeup too, but I didn’t want to put my stuff on the ground, so I spread them all out along the 4 inch wide shelves that ran along the wall, so all my stuff was spread out like that ahahah and blocking all the mirrors XD;;. I got a lot of weird looks in the bathroom and in the hallway from the ball area to the bathroom lolz, and it didn’t help that I kept on running back and forth because I kept on forgetting stuff haaha. Once I was finally in the ballroom, saw Peter, and met up with the rest of OMG5 (except for Nick, who was a instructor at the glow-sticking panel) and the guy from before… When I arrived, V pulled me aside and told me how he was hitting on every girl in our group- how he had gotten her number because she didn’t know what else to do when he asked, how he kept on trying to hold Jeanine’s hand until she started hitting him to make him stop grabbing at it, how he asked Sam if Sam was dating any of the girls so he could find out who was available and who wasn’t, how quickly he would move onto a different girl once he was outright rejected, and how he kept on trying to present himself as something that was wanted only cuz he was asian and at an anime convention wtf wtffff. When he tried talking to me, I just replied with uhhhhh I dunnos duurrrr so he stopped trying ahahhaha~ I was too tired to really dance, and I didn’t really like the songs that were coming on, so I left early. It took me 3 trips back and forth to finally get into my pokemon trainer costume again because I was DUMB and kept on forgetting pieces or bags. ~_~ I was hella hungry at this point, so I tried to look for a place to eat within the convention center, but all the concession stands closed at 6 pm! I had a really light lunch because I had a late breakfast (only a kasha bar >< ) So I was HELLA hungry… It was about 7:30 at this point, and when Tyler called me to go to dinner with him and his friends, I accepted because I assumed that we could eat and get back by the time the ball ended. We were all really really hungry, so we decided to go to the nearest eating place- Denny’s- which was about a half hour’s walking distance away (which I didn’t know beforehand). When we arrived there, it was hella crowded and there were people waiting on the street because the waiting room inside was full. So we ran to Ihop’s which was less crowded.

We waited in the waiting for twenty minutes, we were seated for an hour before we had any waiter come to us, and it took another forty-five for our food to come. I had to get back to the convention center by 10pm, and our food arrived at 9:50, so Tyler and I grabbed the food (to go!) and ran the 30-minute walk in ten minutes. When we arrived at the convention center, I found out that there had been some communication issues and that my group (who I thought were gonna wait for me until 10 at the con center so we could go back to the hotel together) had already returned to the hotel. So we just ate our meal out in front, exhausted and delirious from hunger, as we waited for Tyler's friends to come out from AX idol, cuz they had the car keys, so that they could send me back to my hotel.

We found out that Kaitlin, V's COUSIN, won first place for the AX idol voice acting! Fun stuff wooo~ I was so tired when I got back to the hotel lololol, but it was hella fun just sitting around talking about JACK CHAN, who is the exact same as Sam, but just JACK CHAN. You had to be there haahahhaah~ I spent rest of the night listening to them and editing the photos from that day. I blame my tired-ness for shrinking the photos down so much that the quality went way down like that of a disposable camera ~_~ Ahahaa, that ends Day 2 and part 2 of my Anime Expo trip! Day 3 and 4 and the extra LA day + China will probably be all wrapped into the next journal~
